Default cPanel Autodiscover Entries Added During Account Transfer Print

Symptoms

Transferring an account with custom Autodiscover SRV records may result in the default cPanel Autodiscover records being added.

Description

When transferring a cPanel account with custom Autodiscover SRV records in their DNS and the Tweak settings "Thunderbird and Outlook autodiscover and autoconfig support" enabled, this results in the cPanel default Autodiscover records being added.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-49668. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

Workaround

Prior to transferring any accounts with custom SRV records, you can disable the Tweak Settings option "Thunderbird and Outlook autodiscover and autoconfig support" by going to "Home / Server Configuration / Tweak Settings". Once transferred, this setting can be re-enabled.
