Introduction

You may find that the configured backup retention causes the backups to consume too much disk space. Configuring a lower retention can help limit the space the backups consume.

 

Procedure

  1. Log into WHM as the ‘root’ user.
  2. Navigate to "Home / Backup / Backup Configuration."
  3. Scroll down to the "Scheduling and Retention" section.
  4. Set the new retention value in the "Retention" textbox.
  5. Scroll to the bottom of the page.
  6. Click the "Save Configuration" button.

Please note that backups created before the retention value is updated will not be automatically deleted and require manual deletion.
