Symptoms
JetBackup fails to back up one or more accounts with a "partial backup" error.
Description
When the cPanel user is in demo mode, JetBackup fails to complete the backup with the following error:
[ERROR] Error while trying to get data from uapi. Error: This functionality is not available in demo mode.
Go to WHM Home »Plugins »JetBackup » Logs and select the partial backup log to find the error:

[ERROR] Error while trying to get data from uapi. Error: This functionality is not available in demo mode.
...
Backup Partially Completed
Check the cPanel account in the WHM interface, and you will find the user is in demo mode.
Workaround
Exclude the user account from backup or disable demo mode for the user, as outlined here:
