Symptoms

In WHM, the DNS cluster status shows as:

Could not communicate with remote API server.

Also, the following is logged to the cPanel error log (/usr/local/cpanel/logs/error_log):

warn [queueprocd] Could not connect to https://$IP:2087/json-api/version: IO::Socket::SSL 1.42 must be installed for https support

Description

This error is caused by a recent update of the RPM perl-Net-SSLeay package.

Workaround

You must restart the queueprocd service to apply the package update to it.

/scripts/restartsrv_queueprocd
