Symptoms
After manually creating a DNS zone through the command line, you are unable to a DMARC record to the zone from the WHM DNS Zone Manager.
Description
Attempting to add a DMARC record to the DNS zone results in the following error:
The domain must be owned by a user other than "root" when adding DMARC to hostname zone
We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-46112. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.
Workaround
Change the ownership of the domain.
