cpsrvd Returns 200 Response Code on all URLs Print

  • 0

Symptoms

Any request made to ports 2083 or 2087 will return with a successful 200 response, regardless of the output. The can appear that the requests were made by unauthenticated users. Some PCI scans may detect this as a potential security issue.

Cause

A 200 response is always generated by cpsrvd. This does not indicate that the request was processed, or that the URL exists.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-46080. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

Resolution

This issue has been resolved as of cPanel & WHM version 132.0.0.
