Symptoms
Email accounts that use POP3 to download and remove messages from the server, such as when the 'Leave messages on server' option is disabled, continue to show quota usage. This occurs even when there are no messages in the inbox.
Cause
The POP3 delete function is not triggering an update to the cPanel UI's Quota value.
Resolution
We are tracking this issue as CPANEL-51003. To force a re-calculation for an account, run the following command where $USER is the cPanel username:
/scripts/generate_maildirsize --verbose --confirm $USER
