Symptoms

Rebuilding the cache configuration returns the following error.

Error: Completed with warnings

Description

Rebuilding the Nginx cache configuration on servers with 300-500 accounts triggers a memory error. The default WHM memory limit is 4G. During review, we found that this process doesn't use 4 GB of memory, but it tries to allocate virtual memory, which may exceed 4 GB. In the frontend, a warning is triggered, followed by a hidden memory limit error that can be seen in debugging.

We've opened an internal case for our development team to investigate this further. For reference, the case number is CPANEL-49975. Follow this article to receive an email notification when a solution is published in the product.

Workaround

Increase the memory limit (Max cPanel process memory) in WHM Tweak Settings to 8192 or set it to unlimited.
